 TamilNadu Assembly election date is going to be announced today.

Election dates for four states including TamilNadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry are going to be announced today.

The Election Commission is going to hold a press conference today at 4 pm at Vigyan Bhavan the Election Commission office in Delhi.

In this press conference the election dates for TamilNadu and other states will be announced, according to a press release from the Election Commission,Once the TamilNadu Assembly election date is announced the election code of conduct will come into effect immediately,The DMK alliance won the 2021 elections in Tamil Nadu Formed the government. The five-year term of the DMK government in TamilNadu ends in May,Elections are likely to be held in TamilNadu before that.

The NR Congress-BJP rule in Puducherry and the five-year term of the Left Democratic Front coalition government in Kerala is also ending,The situation of parties in Tamil Nadu is very interesting.

In the 2021 assembly elections the DMK. Won the Secular Progressive Alliance along with the Congress,Communist Party of India Communist Party of India-Marxist MDMK,Liberation Tigers of TamilNadu Indian Union Muslim League and Kongunadu Makkal Nationalist Party,The DMK alliance won 159 out of the 234 seats in TamilNadu while the AIADMK alliance won 75 seats.

In this election there has been no change in the parties already in the DMK alliance but a couple of more parties have joined the DMK alliance,The DMDK and Makkal Needhi Maiam have joined the DMK alliance.

Former AIADMK Chief Minister O Panneerselvam recently joined the DMK,The Congress has been allotted 28 seats,one Rajya Sabha seat MDMK has been allotted 4 seats Kongunadu Makkal Nezha Katchi and Indian Union Muslim League have been allotted 2 seats each.

At the time there have been major changes in the AIADMK alliance,The AIADMK and the BJP are contesting together in this assembly election.

The PMK led by Anbumani Ramadoss has joined the AIADMK alliance.

The Tamil Maanaya Congress remains in the alliance,The AAMK has joined the AIADMK alliance. The Seeman-led Naam Tamilar Party is contesting separately like in elections.

Vijays formed TamilNadu Victory Party is also contesting this election.

Far no major party has formed an alliance, with the Tamil Nadu Victory Party.

Sasikala, a friend of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has said that she has joined a party formed by volunteers called 'All India Revolutionary Leader Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam,Sasikala also said that her party has been allotted a coconut grove symbol.
